Obama Worship Continues

I do not know where to start with this… I begin by looking over my shoulder for the Candid Camera. There has to be one somewhere around here, right? I mean this stuff can’t be real, can it?

Today we have another video of children in school praising Obama.  See it for yourself:

This chant is clearly indoctrination. The statement that Obama will unite blacks and whites is nothing short of a fallacy. The man has done nothing but divide this country along racial lines, party lines, religious lines, and the list goes on.  If little children are taught this message in school, they will remember Obama as “uniting blacks and whites.” Clearly the teachers are working to shape these minds with something other than the truth.

The chant says that “education is the key…the secret…the way… the path.” To what? Rewriting history and teaching children lies about our founding fathers, the constitution and global warming? Or maybe education is the key to convincing children that it’s OK to have two mommies or that God does not matter.

Can we make America better? Yes we can! But it’s not going to be easy. We have to be willing to stand up for what we know is true.  Educate yourself on the history of the founding of this country.  Study the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Know the Founding Fathers and most importantly know GOD!

THINK:  President Obama has said, just this week, that he wants to extend the school day and extend the school year for children. Why do you suppose he wants your children to spend more time in school and less time at home with you?  

Another video has surfaced today too.  The video is of a community organizing group called The Gamaliel National Clergy Caucus. This group helped sponsor Barack Obama’s initial work in Chicago. They held “a New Orleans style funeral procession that included the delivering of a casket symbolizing the death of old ways of providing health care and prayed for a new day for health care in America.”

Editor’s note: We’ve updated this post with the longer version of the original event. As you’ll see in the comments and related links there is a debate over what is actually being said. Does the crowd say, “Hear our cry, Obama” and “Deliver us Obama?” Or are they saying “Oh God?” In the longer version the first two repetitions seem to have a distinct “uh” sound at the end that resonates as “Obama.” The later repetitions are a little fuzzier. Did some of the religious leaders present become uneasy? Or was there a mix of what was being said? [1]

THINK:  Why have we not heard from President Obama on any of this? Why hasn’t he made a public statement denouncing any type of worship of him? Does he like it? Maybe he hasn’t heard about it (like the ACORN story) or maybe this is all part of his plan.  You decide.

Majority of Americans Do Not Want Healthcare Reform

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% of Americans are opposed to the idea of healthcare reform in this country.   Senior citizens are even less supportive of the plan than the younger voters. The same Rasmussen survey finds that only 33% of seniors favor the plan while 59% are opposed. Looking at the senior population over the age of 65, the poll reports a mere 16% favoring healthcare reform while 46% of this group says they are strongly opposed to it.

The reason Americans are opposing this reform with such vigor is that they are not as stupid as President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the like would like to believe.  Americans know this is bad news for the country and the liberties we have been afforded by our Creator. 

THINK: The implementation of this legislation will allow the government to regulate and legislate every aspect of life, including your daily behavior.  The government will control all liberties and  freedoms (or lack thereof).

President Obama and his liberal administration do not seem to be at all concerned with the opinions of the people they have sworn to serve.  They know Americans do not want this fundamental change in their country, yet they are insistent it will be forced upon the people.  Every day the American people are witness to the disconnect between the people and their representatives. Everyday Americans see that no matter their opinions, their President and his administration are refusing to listen.  President Obama and Congress see these polls.

The Senate plan now, is to attach the Obamacare reform to a House-passed non-healthcare bill. No one knows what the legislation will look like because it has not even been written! Many in the Senate have committed to supporting the plan – without reading it or understanding it. (Both of which are difficult to do if nothing is available to read or understand.) This process will go something like this: 

•  Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) takes extraordinary steps to get the bill on the Senate floor. 
• Senator Reid takes the final product of the Senate Finance Committee and merges it with another bill that resulted from the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, and was passed on a party-line vote in July.
• Obamacare is attached to an unrelated bill from the House. Senator Reid will move to proceed to H.R. 1586, which is a bill set to impose a tax on bonuses received by certain TARP recipients (a bill that has been sitting for months).
• Senate will then need the 58 members of the liberal caucus as well as the two Independent senators (Lieberman from CT and Sanders from VT) to vote against any filibuster. When the Senate takes the bill for vote, a simple majority is all that is needed to pass it.

THINK:  A bill that the people do not want is attached to a bill that sounds good, but still imposes the opinions of just a few. The government is seeking to mandate a limit on the amount of money an employee of a private corporation can earn and then attaching healthcare reform to it? What does healthcare have to do with bonuses of employees of private companies?

There has been a bipartisan proposal presented by Brian Baird, Democrat from Washington and Greg Walden, Republican from Oregon that would require all nonemergency legislation to be posted online in final form for at least 72-hours prior to a vote on the floor.  This is in addition to the amendment by Senator Jim Bunning (R.- KY)that would allow for public review of the bill. The amendment would mandate the text of the bill and the final cost analysis by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) be publicly available for a minimum of 72 hours before the Finance Committee votes on final passage.

This has already been rejected.  None of this should be necessary anyway. Remember, President Obama promised to allow a full week for review of new legislation. Where is the transparency now?

If Americans are increasing opposed to the socialization of healthcare why the big push by the President?  He says we need this fundamental change now, but none of his plan is scheduled to be implemented until 2013.  If we are in a crisis, why wait four years to implement Obama’s solution?  Perhaps the president wants to solidify his reelection.  The president knows that the people of this country do not want this kind of fundamental transformation. He knows the people will continue to oppose it and he knows many Americans want no part of this plan. Obama knows that if this plan were implemented right away, he would stand no chance of being reelected in 2012.

THINK:  Who is healthcare reform really about? Is it about the American people or is it about one man’s reelection campaign?

We know the president has plenty of willing accomplices in his administration. Nancy Pelosi is leading the charge to hide the truth from the people. She wants what she wants because it gives the government power over the people.  This president and his administration do not have your best interest in mind. If they truly represented the people they have been elected to serve, they would be listening to the protests and offering TORT reform as the first step towards reform. Instead, they continue with their arrogance and condescension towards the people of this nation.  The biggest enemy Obama faces, the biggest enemy Pelosi and Reid face, is the American people.  

We must not tire of the fight to protect our liberty!  We must continue to speak out against this takeover of our freedoms and liberties.  What can you do?  Contact your representatives and make it clear to them that you do not want this legislation.  Talk to your family, friends, colleagues, etc. and encourage them to do the same.

STOP the push for Universal Helathcare NOW!

REFORM that makes sense:

 1. TORT reform – Abolish the entire medical-malpractice system. Create a new social pool from which people injured in medical errors or accidents can draw. The adjudication would be done by medical experts, not lay juries giving away lottery prizes.

 2. Real health-insurance reform - Eliminated the prohibition on buying personal health insurance across state lines. This would inject new and powerful competition that would lower costs for everyone.

Speak from your heart. You know this is directly opposite of the fundamentals this country was founded on. Americans are guaranteed the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. To mandate that a private citizen (or illegal alien) purchase health insurance from the government or face fines and jail time is FUNDAMENTALLY UN-AMERICAN!

School Children Taught to Sing Praises to Obama

What’s the big deal if the president wants to make a speech to kids in school? Why are all these parents getting so worked up? He is the president and he just wants to tell kids to stay in school and work hard…

If ever there was a case made for home schooling, this is sure to be it!

Does the line, “red, yellow, black and white, all are equal in his sight” sound familiar? If you’ve ever been to Sunday School you have probably sung the song: 

Are you sick yet?  Yes, it is historic that we have the first black president in the United States of America. Do we need to compare him to Jesus?

This video comes from the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township, N.J.  The students were instructed by Charisse Carney-Nunes, author of the children’s book “I Am Barack Obama” and a self-described Harvard Law “schoolmate” to President Obama.

 The Burlington Township (NJ) school officials have confirmed the praising of Obama is part of the students’ official curriculum.

During the children’s performance, Mrs. Carney Nunes’s book was prominently displayed and she has said she uses the book as a tool that “allows children to see themselves through the inspirational story of President Obama growing up as an ordinary child asking, ‘Who will change the world? Ultimately, he realizes that he will.’” That’s what many Americans are afraid of.

After seeing this, are we still to believe the original speech that was planned on the [for many] first day of school  was nothing more than indoctrination? If not for parents and administrators who are wise to these things, we might all be singing this song right now.  You know how that story progressed. The Department of Education changed the language of the curriculum and many parents kept their children home from school that day.

Just another isolated incident, you say? Not quite.

Earlier this month, the White House and Hollywood moguls launched an initiative that includes President Obama urging students to lobby for higher teacher pay and to “Know Your Rights” and “Change the System.” [1]

In Northfield, Illinois a forty-five minute “extended adviser” discussion was the follow up to President Obama’s speech that the New Trier High School implemented in order to explore the “significant messages inherent in his speech.” [2] Evidently, parents were not informed in a timely manner and were not given specific instructions on how to opt out of the discussion. Here is a sample of the focus of the discussion:

 * Why do you think President Obama listed the responsibilities of teachers, parents, and the government before discussing your responsibility for your education?

* What are you “good at” and what do you have “to offer” your family, friends, and community?

* In the speech, President Obama spoke of some of the steps of Effective Effort. Identify them, using direct quotations from the text to support your assertions.

* Respond to President Obama’s final questions for you: “What’s your contribution going to be?…”

 Think the story ends here?  Nope!  We still have Chicago high school educator Xian Barrett who is outspoken in his opposition to charter schools, founded a “Social Justice Club” and bussed students in protest.  And there is Michelle Bissonnette, a Los Altos, Calif., teacher who is “focused on developing my leadership as a more culturally and racially conscious educator.”

 If all of this is not enough to make you hold onto your children and refuse to allow them back into a public school in America, this will probably do it:

The White House has embraced controversial homosexual rights’ advocate Kevin Jennings as “Safe Schools Czar.” Jennings founded the controversial GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network), which aggressively pushes sexually explicit, age-inappropriate books and lesson plans on alternative lifestyles. [3] We will take a closer look at President Obama’s Safe Schools Czar in a separate post.

THINK:  What has happened to children going to school to learn the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic? Instead, they are being indoctrinated with radicalism that seeks to educate children on issues of atheism, homosexuality and worship to a king.

Pray for Your Country!

You may have seen the email alerting Christians to the national prayer gathering of Muslims that is scheduled for this Friday, September, 25, 2009. The event is planned to take place on the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building, with at least 50,000 attendees from mosques all across America.  The prayer session will begin at 4:00am and continue until 7:00pm at the same site where U.S. Presidents have been inaugurated since 1981.

The website for the event is http://www.islamoncapitolhill.com/  Pay particular attention on the website to the bottom of the page where it states, “OUR TIME HAS COME.”

Why is this significant?

The Founding Fathers of the United States of America adopted the principle of Natural Law as the basis by which civilized American society would be organized. Our Founding fathers held varying religious beliefs, but established unity in the fact that we are all governed by the “laws of our Creator.” This is evidenced in the Declaration of Independence:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are empowered by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Some would argue that the United States was not founded on Christianity. They are wrong. Study of the history of America makes it clear the fundamental principles are founded in Christianity. I contend that the success of this nation is nothing short of a miracle. If a man can believe that anyone other than God has allowed men to develop and succeed at such a rapid pace in this small section of the world, we will have to save that discussion for another day.

It is clear to many that the cause of the pain and suffering Americans are experiencing now is due to the fact that as a nation, we have turned our backs on God. We have seen the evidence in slow progression: 

• God is removed from schools:  No Christmas holidays, Nativity scenes or crosses allowed.
•  The words “under God” have been removed from court houses, schools and other public buildings.
•  Good Friday has been taken away from the public school holiday calendar, no talk of resurrectionis permitted.
•  Moments of silence have been removed from schools and school functions.
•  President Obama did not hold National Day of Prayer services in the White House this year.
•  Students are being warned of the phrase “one nation under God” before participating in the pledge of allegiance

 I don’t know what all of this means. What I do know is this: My God is a merciful God! He gives us opportunities to “fix it” when we mess up.

2  Chronicles 7:14  If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

I am going to focus on prayer this Friday, September 25, 2009. I ask you to join me.

Glenn Beck has called for a National Day of Prayer and Fasting on Monday, September 28. Don’t save your prayers for Monday. Let’s get a head start!

If the idea of fasting is new to you or something you are beginning to consider, know there are many ways to apply this sacrifice.  Consider what you will give up on this day and focus on God.  The time has come for Christians to join together on their knees in prayer for this nation!

 President Obama has told us where he stands:

 ”We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation…”

 ”We could be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world”

Freedom of Speech – Only if You Agree with the Government

One of the country’s leading health insurance providers alerts their Medicare Advantage patients to changes that will take place if President Obama’s healthcare reform plan is signed into law. The government forces the company to stop communicating the message to their customers. This is yet another assault on the first amendment by this administration.

In a letter mailed to Medicare Advantage health insurance plan customers, Chief Medical Officer of Humana Medicare, Philip Painter, M.D. seeks to present the reality of the government plan. Dr. Painter begins by acknowledging that many customers have questions about the plan purposed by President Obama and these customers have asked for ways to get involved to protect Medicare Advantage.  He goes on to identify a program Humana has developed to deliver information regarding the reform and asks for customers’ input.

Dr. Parker offers customers the option to join the Partner program via a postage-paid mailer and “join more than 50,000 Humana Medicare Advantage members who are receiving information about this issue and learning how to get involved to protect your Medicare Health plan coverage.” The second opportunity to have their voices heard is presented in the Chief Medical Officer’s suggestion that customers “Let your Members of Congress know why Medicare Advantage is important to you.”  He goes on to remind Medicare Advantage beneficiaries that Congress is considering significant cuts to the program they are currently enrolled in. Dr. Painter tells customers they can let Congress know why they like the plan they have! 

Dr. Philip Painter concludes his note with the following statement, “Leading health reform proposals being considered in Washington, D.C., this summer include billions in Medicare Advantage funding cuts, as well as spending reductions to original Medicare and Medicaid.” Dr. Painter acknowledges that these programs do need to be made more efficient, but if the proposed funding cuts become law,  “millions of seniors and disabled individuals could lose many of the important benefits and services…”

In keeping with the intimidation tactics of this administration, Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus has declared war on Humana Inc. for daring to criticize his part of the healthcare reform bill.

Senator Baucus has complained to the federal health-care agency, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. “It is wholly inappropriate for insurance companies to mislead seniors regarding any subject—particularly on a subject as important to them, and to the nation, as health-care reform,” Mr. Baucus said in a statement on Monday. “The health-care reform bill we released last week strengthens Medicare and does not cut benefits covered under the Medicare program—and seniors need to know that.”

In response to the Senator’s complaint, the CMS sent a letter to the national health insurer [Humana]ordering it to stop sending out a letter regarding current efforts in Washington, D.C., to reform health care.  CMS claimed the mailer was “misleading and confusing” and told the company it has opened an official probe as to whether the mailer violated laws about how the insurers that manage Advantage plans are allowed to communicate with their customers, as well as other federal statutes.

“This information is misleading and confusing to beneficiaries,” said the letter from Teresa DeCaro, who handles contract administration for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. “Please be advised that we take this matter very seriously and, based upon the findings of our investigation, will pursue compliance and enforcement actions.”

This investigation could lead to hefty fines or the removal of Humana from Medicare Advantage altogether.

The reality is that the Baucus draft legislation slashes $123 billion over the next decade from Medicare Advantage.  The Humana letter correctly notes the cuts that are being proposed. As is usually the case with the Democrats and the truth, Mr. Baucus doesn’t want seniors to be educated about these facts. He is willing to use his enormous power to punish any private company that doesn’t affirm his version of reality. Nearly half of Humana’s yearly revenue comes from Medicare Advantage.  Humana has stated it is complying in full with the CMS investigation. Yesterday, the agency also barred all Advantage insurers from providing similar information to their beneficiaries

Here is the breakdown:

A private health insurance company (who has supported Obamacare) makes the mistake of telling its customers the truth. Said health insurance company provides information for customers to contact their legislators to voice an opinion on the issue.  Senator who is leading the charge for fundamental transformation in this country uses his political clout to strong-arm the CEO of a private company for trying to protect his business. Under the threat of fines and losing contracts, a private insurance company is forced to be silent on the issues that will affect the ability to remain in business.

Humana merely made the mistake of trying to tell seniors the truth about what will happen to their coverage. Now CEO Michael McCallister will be forced to hire a good team of lawyers to defend his actions. Senator Baucus and the Obama Administration are out to make him an example of Humana. The surely will not let up until Humana realizes the error of its ways or is completely destroyed.

THINK:  The government is setting out to ruin a company because its leaders have chosen to tell the truth. The truth is getting in the way of the administration’s plan. The only action the government takes is to shut up the people who dare to speak the truth! This administration has no regard for the 1^st amendment. The only free speech is that which is in line with the government.
